Tao magazine

For 20 years our story has passed from traveller to traveller

So, why a magazine?

Even in a digital age, we believe that real lived experiences and human connection are stronger than any algorithm. Tao magazine DIWA is printed on paper, made to be passed on.

We’ve never done any marketing. For 20 years our story was passed on by word of mouth, traveller to traveller. Like a secret shared at sea. But in those two decades we’ve amassed a ton of stories and experience too. And now it’s time to share them.

Lakbay diwa

In Tagalog 'lakbay diwa' is a Filipino term that means journey of the spirit. At Tao, it's our way of expressing how we travel with soul. To mark our twentieth year, we created DIWA: a magazine that gathers our stories, old and new. It's a glimpse into our world – the islands, projects and people who make up Tao.

Stories are

meant to

be shared

DIWA is our new magazine. 20 years in the making it’s where we share the stories behind the journeys. The people, the sea, the ideas that move us.
