Two-week itinerary

Travel in the Philippines takes time. The islands are spread out, flights can face delays during high season and typhoons occasionally interrupt even the best-laid plans.

Two weeks is the perfect amount of time to explore Palawan and join a Tao expedition. If you have a third week to spare, you can easily add another province to your adventure. This timeframe gives you enough space to soak it all in, but allows a buffer for island delay and ensures you make the most of your journey. We've created detailed travel guides to help you plan your route through Palawan, including what to do in El Nido and Coron. Allow at least a week in each destination, as travel between them often takes a full day.

Coron to El Nido

Day 1 Arrive in Manila. Check into a hotel and rest after your flight.
Day 2 Fly to Busuanga (Coron) early. Check into your hotel, then spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool.
Day 3 Explore Coron Island: visit the lakes and lagoons or dive one of the famous WWII shipwrecks.
Day 14 Overnight in Manila before your international flight home.
Day 5-8 Tao Expedition (Coron to El Nido) – four days sailing through remote islands, snorkelling reefs and staying in Tao basecamps.
Day 8 Arrive in El Nido.
Day 9-10 Join a Tao Island Escape around Bacuit Bay or an overnight stay at Taran Beach Club, our new opening at Duli Beach.
Day 11-12 Explore El Nido's beaches, lagoons and restaurants.
Day 13 Fly from El Nido to Manila.
Day 4 Another day of island-hopping or diving. Check into Tao and attend the evening briefing.

El Nido to Coron

Day 1 Arrive in Manila. Check into a hotel and rest after your flight.
Day 2 Fly early to El Nido. Check into your hotel and spend the afternoon at Corong Corong Beach for sunset.
Day 3 Join a Tao Island Escape around Bacuit Bay, or visit our new Taran Beach Club at Duli Beach.
Day 14 Overnight in Manila before your international flight home.
Day 4-5 Explore El Nido's surrounding islands and beaches. Check into Tao and attend the evening briefing.
Day 6-9 Tao Expedition (El Nido to Coron) – four days sailing north through remote islands and reefs.
Day 10 Arrive in Coron.
Day 11-12 Discover Coron's lagoons and shipwrecks or relax at a hot spring.
Day 13 Fly from Busuanga (Coron) to Manila.
