Fashion isn't just about what looks good. Filip + Inna is a fashion studio that works with artisans to handcraft a range of beautiful garments for men and women.

Founder and creative director Len Cabili grew up in Mindanao in what she calls “a perfect setting for exposure to the different indigenous groups of the Philippines” and to gain an understanding of traditional intricate weaving, embroidery and beadwork techniques. With an appreciation of these traditions instilled from childhood, Len established Filip + Inna in 2009 with the mission of creating new designs while also stepping back from “fast fashion” and reviving – even preserving – Filipino crafts that are in danger of being forgotten. “I knew that I had to be respectful of their craft and hand the creativity to them,” Len says of her artisan collaborators. The company now works with 19 communities, from the Tingguian of northern Luzon to the Sama of Sulu.
