Nestled in a marine reserve on the side of mountain forest and surrounded by ancient limestone cliffs, it overlooks a breathtaking view of the Bacuit Bay, dotted by hundreds of pristine beaches. It is the seasonal island home of Lucia and Lory, friends of Tao. They have realised their dream of hosting an island haven for artists who are looking for inspiration and rejuvenation. They agreed to name it Talikwas, meaning "unfolding from within" to encompass all forms of healing arts.

Set on the hillside under the limestone cliffs the house is only accessible by boat (Talikwas has its own private bangka), and its own white sand beach. Upon reaching the house there are 3 beautifully designed and furnished double rooms on the upper level, all with access to the terrace that runs around the whole house. Downstairs is the rustic yoga hall which can host ten comfortably. There are tatami mats laid out on window-bed platforms for sleeping dormitory style. Mosquito nets and beddings are provided, and both floors have their own washrooms and showers.

With it's basic infrastructure, El Nido Town is situated a short tricycle ride away, yet Talikwas House chooses to remain 'off-grid'. The minimal demand for electricity is provided, where neccessary, by an onsite generator. In preference, the house utilises solar lighting complemented by gas lamps, and meals will be provided by a dedicated aide, fresh from the local market every morning. Ice boxes are also provided for those extra treats. Glorious sunrises and sunsets, star-filled moonlit skies, and fresh ocean breezes come as standard!
